THE BARNS AT LIBERTY FARM

GHENT NY

Alex and Victoria came to me by route of Alex’s sister's wedding, seven years ago. This wedding was to be very different then that Brooklyn Botanical Garden winter affair.

This wedding took place on a farm, Liberty Farm, with horses and a glorious barn, with decorated horse paddocks, filled with antique furniture. This wedding had a sunset to die for, a sweet view and farm fences.

Victoria wore a lovely easy to wear, lace gown and adorned her hair with a delicate flower wreath. Alex, hipster from Brooklyn, wore a elegant slim fitting blue suit, white and blue patterned shirt, blue tie and fabulous brown leather shoes.

CHeck out the sunset-amazing only begins to describe it. I shot this with a movie light to keep the warmth of the setting sun and not introduce the blue light of a flash. I also went for the very blue light of dusk, immediately following the colorful sunsetting sky.

the barn was trickey, honey warm in color and we did create quite a few black and white images, lit carefully with movie lighting to create a 50's look, akin to the furnishings and design of the evening
